The Department of Mathematics started in the year 2005. Since then, the Department is known for its innovative way of teaching Mathematics courses to students of College. Since 2022 The Department Has been Imparting 4 year FYUGP Under NEP 2020. Department is also involved in organizing departmental seminar on the current and pertinent mathematics topic. The department is also involved in conducting extracurricular activities like- Quiz, essay writing, speech and workshop and related activities. The faculties of the Department of mathematics are competent who work tirelessly to help students to learn the basics along with the advanced areas in the domain of Mathematics. The students are educated with a strong foundation in Mathematics, enabling them to become top-notch scholars and scientists of the future society.
The Mathematics Department aims to be recognized for academic excellence through the depth of teaching, innovative ideological practices, and research and has worked towards becoming a center for advanced study in the various fields of mathematics.
A graduate student in B.Sc.(Hons.) Mathematics from the college can pursue academic courses like B. Ed. and P.G. Courses like M. Sc. or M.S., followed by M. Phil. or Ph.D. Thus they can find a promising career in the field of Research or Teaching. They can also take up Professional Courses like MCA or MBA. MCA is the best option for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics graduates who wish to pursue their career in IT sector and MBA for those who wish to pursue their career in Management field. The students can also explore areas like actuarial sciences, banking, civil services etc.
