The Department of Philosophy was established in 1978. Since then, the Department is known for its innovative way of teaching Philosophy courses to students of College. Since 2022 The Department Has been Imparting 4 year FYUGP Under NEP 2020. The department is also involved in conducting extracurricular activities like- Quiz, essay writing, speech and workshop and related activities. The faculties of the Department of Philosophy are competent who work tirelessly to help students to learn the basics along with the advanced areas in the domain of Philosophy. The students are educated with a strong foundation in Philosophy, enabling them to become top-notch scholars of society.
The Philosophy Department aims to be recognized for academic excellence through the depth of teaching, innovative ideological practices, and research and has worked towards becoming a center for advanced study in the various fields of Philosophy.
A graduate student in B.A.(Hons.) Philosophy from the college can pursue academic courses like B. Ed. and P.G. Courses like M. A. or M.S., followed by M. Phil. or Ph.D. Thus they can find a promising career in the field of Research or Teaching etc.
