The Department of Political Science was established in 1973. Since then, the Department is known for its innovative way of teaching Political Science courses to students of College. Since 2022 The Department Has been Imparting 4 year FYUGP Under NEP 2020. The department is also involved in conducting extracurricular activities like- Quiz, essay writing, speech and workshop and related activities. The faculties of the Department of Political Science are competent who work tirelessly to help students to learn the basics along with the advanced areas in the domain of Political Science. The students are educated with a strong foundation in Political Science, enabling them to become top-notch scholars of society.
The Political Science Department aims to be recognized for academic excellence through the depth of teaching, innovative ideological practices, and research and has worked towards becoming a center for advanced study in the various fields of Political Science.
A graduate student in B.A.(Hons.) Political Science from the college can pursue academic courses like B. Ed. and P.G. Courses like M. A. or M.S., followed by M. Phil. or Ph.D. Thus they can find a promising career in the field of Research or Teaching etc.
